Advanced Information Technologies awarded NAVAIR MSI contract
BURLINGTON, MA (28 December 2004) —BAE Systems Advanced Information Technologies (AIT), Inc. has been awarded a contract by the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAVAIR) to provide a real time Multi-Sensor Integration (MSI) capability to integrate on-board and off-board sensor information for the Navy's E-2C aircraft. The contract, including Options, is valued at $12.1 Million, for a period of three (3) years.

This contract award represents the conclusion of NAVAIR's multi-phased procurement strategy for the MSI Program. In a letter to BAE Systems, dated 16 July 16 2004, NAVAIR stated that “[BAE Systems] ranked first in all five [award] categories. Your ability to maintain a continuous MSI track picture was particularly exceptional.”

“We are delighted to have won this competition,” said Dr. Mark Luettgen, Manager of BAE Systems AIT Fusion Technology and Systems Division. “Our selection by NAVAIR is a reflection both of the hard work of our MSI project team and our continuing efforts to develop the All-Source Tracking and Identity Fusion software that formed the basis of our MSI approach. We deeply appreciate NAVAIR's confidence in us and are looking forward to working with them to bring this important capability to the fleet.”
