ALPHATECH is proud to offer one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry. At ALPHATECH, we recognize the importance of protecting the good health and financial security of our employees and their families. The following benefits package is offered to regular employees who work at least 32 hours per week. 

At ALPHATECH, we recognize that each and every one of our employees have full lives outside of work. Our goal is to create a comfortable environment for our employees to enjoy, one that incorporates work/life programs. In addition to regular attention to work/life programs, ALPHATECH tries to incorporate our employees' families into numerous events throughout the year, like our summer outing, our annual Halloween trick-or-treating event, and our year-end holiday bash!

Flexible Hours of Work

ALPHATECH recognizes that different people are productive at different times of the day. 

We also acknowledge that commuting to and from work in the Boston or Washington D.C. areas is not an easy feat. To assist employees with managing their time and commute, ALPHATECH allows each employee to set his/her daily schedule, around the core hours of 10:00 and 3:00. Employees may elect to begin their day as early at 6:30 a.m., or as late as 10:00 a.m., which ever time suits both them and their project assignments the best.

Vacation and Holidays 
New hires accrue two weeks of vacation annually during their first two years of employment with ALPHATECH. Beginning their third year of employment, they accrue three weeks of vacation per year. We also pay employees for ten holidays each calendar year.
Profit Sharing and Pre-Tax Savings Accounts 
Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plan
Our employees share in the Company's success through a generous profit sharing program. Since 1993, our employees have received an additional 8.5% of their annual wages as a tax-deferred deposit to their 401(k) Accounts. In addition, we match employees $.50 on the dollar for the first 3% of their annual salary they contribute to the 401(k) Plan. 
Reimbursement Accounts
Our Medical Expense Reimbursement and Dependent Care Assistance accounts allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible medical and dependent care expenses. 
Health and Welfare Plans: 
Medical Plan 
Our employees have the option of two types of plans, a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) or Preferred Provider Network (PPO). ALPHATECH pays for 85% of the premium cost for the HMO and 75% of the cost for the PPO. Dental Plan - ALPHATECH's self-insured dental plan reimburses covered employees 100% for the first $100 of dental expenses they incur each year, 80% for the next $250 of expenses , and 50% for expenses from $350 - $2750 (per covered family member). Domestic Partner Benefits ALPHATECH extends its medical and dental insurance coverage to the same-sex domestic partners of our employees.
Income Protection Disability Insurance 
Our employees can enroll in both Short (STD) and Long (LTD) Term Disability Insurance. Both pay employees 60% of their regular base wages during an approved medically necessary absence. ALPHATECH pays 90% of the premium for this coverage. Employee Life Insurance - ALPHATECH employees have the option of purchasing life insurance equal to 2 1/2 times their annual salary. ALPHATECH pays 90% of the premium for this coverage.

Casual Dress Code
Are you one of the many who are more productive when you're not in a suit? ALPHATECH's dress code is business casual all week, not just on Friday! What is business casual you ask? Khakis, button-down shirts, jeans, and sneakers! While we ask our staff to dress up for client visits and presentations, the remainder of the time, our employees dress in the fashion that suits them (there are dress code guidelines that each employee is asked to follow to ensure a professional work environment). 
Tuition Reimbursement
Because ALPHATECH is an intellectually charged organization, we support our employees' efforts to further their education. We reimburse employees for 100% of the tuition cost for a grade of A and 80% for a grade of B in an approved graduate or undergraduate course, and 50% for a grade of C in an undergraduate course. The maximum benefit paid in any calendar year is $5,250. There is no waiting period for new hires.
Health Club Reimbursement
We reimburse employees for 1/3 of the cost of a health club membership , up to $150 per year. This is in addition to the reduced membership rates that are offered at most area health clubs in conjunction with ALPHATECH's medical insurance carriers. 
Professional Organization Membership Dues
ALPHATECH reimburses each employee for 50% of the annual membership fees to technical professional organizations.
