Goal of Program:
The Discoverer Program will deploy a space-based radar system to provide precision geolocation, birth-to-death target tracking, and deep indications and warning capabilities.

Key Product:
The Discoverer II program is a new and aggressive DARPA initiative to bring state-of-the-art radar design, signal processing, and data processing algorithms into operational use for a space-based surveillance system. A space-based surveillance system will provide both reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities to the warfighter.
