Moving
Target Exploitation Ground Station Testbed

Customer:
DARPA
Goal
of Program:
ALPHATECH is leading a team of DARPA associate contractors in
developing, integrating, and demonstrating the Moving Target Exploitation
(MTE) Ground Station Testbed. DARPA has set challenging technical goals
for this program in an effort to support a mission that is vital to
both the Army and Air Force - the detection, tracking, and classification
of Time Critical Targets (TCTs), and the acquistion of intelligence
regarding enemy ground force dispositions and movements using advanced
airborne radar sensor systems such as Northrop Grumman's E-8 Joint STARS
platform and Raytheon's A-3 SEPplatform. When deployed, the MTE Ground
Station will provide an affordable, continuous all weather surveillance
capability to the battlefield commander providing the essential intelligence
necessary to achieve information superiority throughout the battlespace.
Key
Technologies:
Advanced ground surveillance exploitation technologies for target and
force detection, tracking and classification. Airborne surveillance
system providing essential MTI and HRR radar data for enhanced situational
awareness.
Key
Product:
This program has also set challenging technical goals to support DARPA's
desire to transition the advanced, complex ground surveillance exploitation
technologies developed to the Army's operational Common Ground Station
(CGS) system for use by warfighters in the field. When deployed, the
MTE Ground Station will provide an affordable, continuous all weather
surveillance capability to the battlefield commander providing the essential
intelligence necessary to achieve information superiority throughout
the battlespace.
