Precision Image Calibration and Alignment (PICA)

In this Phase I SBIR program, ALPHATECH is developing and evaluating feature-based image registration algorithms. The product of this program includes an integrated set of feature extraction and matching algorithms for image registration. The goal of the evaluation effort is to determine the performance of these algorithms with respect to a variety of image data under realistic, operational registration requirements. The products of this evaluation effort can be used to define reference system requirements to significantly improve image geo-registration and fusion capabilities.
