ALPHATECH was founded in 1979 by five MIT graduates and professors.  Over the years, we have grown into a group of over 250 engineers and scientists who are experts in information processing, software development, and systems engineering, with backgrounds in engineering, mathematics, operations research, computer science, economics, physics, and psychology.  We maintain our world class capability through in-house research programs and extensive collaboration with the academic community.  Our projects include a wide variety of tasks: research, modeling, simulation, algorithm development, software development, software testing, technical consulting, and systems integration.

ALPHATECH strives for innovation.  Fifteen percent of our business relates to Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) initiatives.  Through these programs, we encourage our technical staff to focus not only on technical excellence, but also to pursue new business opportunities.  All technical staff members are encouraged to participate in the SBIR proposal process.  Ninety percent of our technical staff members hold advanced degrees from some of the best engineering schools in the country. 

ALPHATECH has a strategic partnership with Sentar, Inc. to support our work on National Missile Defense in the Huntsville area.  Sentar provides software development and  research services.
